I went to Asurion/uBreakiFix about a block down the street because they were they only 3rd-party repair store I knew about, though I'd never used them before either; I'd only been to them for an estimate/diagnosis at their Lake Forest location, but ended up upgrading my phone instead of fixing it. Booked an appointment online and showed up at Asurion, come to find out they didn't have the parts. The guys there suggested I try CellSpot since it was nearby, or come back a different day where it would be $90-something parts and labor. They said it was a 3-4 hour job because they basically have to take everything apart. Went to CellSpot, they only charged me around $55 parts and labor, tax included, and finished the job in less than 2 hours. Are the parts at Asurion higher quality or something? Idk, seems like they were just overcharging for labor. Only time will tell if the repair will hold up, but for now I'm very satisfied and I'm so glad that they didn't have the parts for me at Asurion and I came here to CellSpot instead, otherwise I'd been ripped off.
