First, let me clarify that this five-star rating is for the grilled chicken.
Because I was too dizzy from hiking the trails in the Sequoias the day before, I gave up my plans to visit Kings Canyon and instead drove through the towns of the Central Valley. Passing by this little shop was pure chance, but it became a culinary highlight of my trip. That's the magic of travel: you never know what you might stumble upon, including what delicious food you might encounter. The grill at this shop is set up in the parking lot, and the air is as smoky as an open-air barbecue stall. I happened to pass by and bought a chicken to try. It wasn't even 10 a.m., so I wasn't hungry, but the chicken was incredibly fragrant. I ate it right in the car and was immediately impressed. I gave the two guys who were grilling the chicken a thumbs-up and expressed my gratitude. After chatting with them, I learned that the chicken stand is only open on weekends, and they prepare 600 chickens daily. If business is good, they sell out by 2 p.m. It was incredible! I stumbled upon this incredibly delicious grilled chicken, and I absolutely must stop by again.
Thankfully, I took photos of the shop that day, which led me to this review. I don’t know much about what the store looks like, nor what it sells specifically, but it is the best roast chicken restaurant I have ever eaten at!
