The attention to detail with the wiring, and cleaning up existing wiring was top-notch. They also found solutions to utilize the internals of the transmission I purchased with an alternate case to not have to adjust the stock mount point of my transfer case. There were also some minor issues with a power steering and trans dip stick gasket leak, which they fixed at no additional charge after pick up. The engine and transmission run well, and are a fantastic upgrade at a reasonable price compared to other quotes I had received. From a technical perspective, I would give the shop 5 stars.
The reason for a lower rating is primarily due to the amount of time it took to complete. I originally waited 6 or so week for drop off to ensure there was room, and space in the schedule to complete the swap in 4-6 weeks per the original estimate. Two months after dropping off, I called to check progress, and I was told 4-6 weeks from that point. I would call and check in every month since then, and the estimates switched to two weeks each month I called. My vehicle was there a total of 11 months for a 4-6 week original estimate.
In summation, the work is very high quality, and they know how to perform smog legal swaps at a competitive price, but the time estimates may not always be accurate, and you may have to wait some time for completion. Overall, I am satisfied with the work performed, and would recommend them for anyone who is looking for an affordable engine swap, but is not in a rush for completion.
