We brought our 2008 Cadillac DTS in for over $4,000 of non-warranty service. We bought the car in August of 2012 from Stobbs in Miller, SD and really loved it. It was exactly what I was looking for - a comfortable, quiet ride. However, when we took it in for an oil change at Sam Taylor in Ft. Waltin Beach, FL, we were told that it needed repairs for a crank case seal and r/f hub. After checking on prices for the repairs at Cadillac of Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls, SD we determined to have the work done there as the quote came in at a little over half of what it would have cost in Florida.
Cadillac of Sioux Falls put on a diagnostic test and determined that we needed to replace the r/f wheel bearing assembly, power steering pressure line, replace worn 3rd clutch housing and crank case seal. Total estimate of over $4,400. Now our car was going to cost us $4,000 more than it's worth. We extended the length of the loan in order to pay for the repairs.
Mr. Steve Andino the Service Consultant, was wonderful in every way. He was friendly, professional, patient and knowledgeable. The bill ended up being $4,186. We were pleased that it was less than quoted.
This is our 4th Cadillac and we've always been happy with them.
