I usually don't write reviews. However, due to the fact that this is a medical business, I had to. I called to see if Burns Pharmacy had nebulizers in stock, told them I had a prescription for my daughter, and inquired about the process to obtain one. They never mentioned they don't take insurance for the type of nebulizers they carry. After speaking with a Burns Pharmacy employee, she told me it would be 75$. And they don't take insurance for it at all. I asked why wasn't this disclosed over the phone. I asked for the management and was told they were gone for lunch and wouldn't be back for an hour. Only to notice another woman training someone. I asked if I could get the owner's contact information. Upon explaining what happened to the two women at the front counter, a racist caucasian male behind the second counter, yelled at me. He yelled that I never asked if they accepted insurance. I asked him how would he know if he wasn't the employee I spoke to on the phone. He was rude beyond measure. He never walked up to the first counter to speak to me,but instead yelled that I was lying all the way from the second counter. He proceeded to yell from behind the second counter, that he knew for a fact that I never asked about insurance. At this point, I asked him why is he being rude in a medical establishment and I stated that I had spoken to a woman not a man via the telephone. I looked up and there were two Lancaster Blvd security guards that walked in. So, because I asked for a manager to make a complaint and a employee (not at the front registers, but behind the second counters) stated false information, yelled at me, and was extremely rude two security guards were needed. WOW!! They didn't give me any info on a corporate office. Miraculously, a female pharmacist stated that she was the owner. Which was weird because they just told me that no one was available for an hour due to managerial staff being at lunch. After she told me that her staff tells everyone that nebulizers are not covered on any insurance, I knew that I only wanted to report them to the BBB. I informed her to look at the cameras and listen to the audio in her pharmacy on September 25, 2024 at 10:58 am. The proof is there. Please stay away from this pharmacy. They are supposed to be trained to help people. There is no way a medical employee should get that hostile when the main objective should be to assist the customers ( who apparently need prescriptions filled).
