Burlington is a company I genuinely respect, and respect their leadership and I hope leadership sees this review to help preserve its good reputation. My family and I frequently shop at Burlington, and we were excited when a Cool Spring store opened nearby. However, I must say the customer service at this location is disappointing.
During our recent visit, the experience with the cashier was unpleasant. She appeared disinterested, slouching and leaning on her cheek, as if she didn’t want to assist us. To make matters worse, she yelled at a minor child who was with us for reasons unclear to me. I decided to overlook that and asked her if she could add our phone number to our account for receipt tracking. She responded rudely. When I asked if she was okay, she again answered in a curt and dismissive manner.
I expressed that I didn’t appreciate her tone towards me or my child, but she showed no remorse, not even a simple apology. I then requested to speak with a manager, but no one came. After asking another staff member, she told me she wasn’t the manager but asked what happened then she says ohh that needs a manager. I’d already asked for a manager, so at that point, I decided to leave.
I hope Burlington continues to provide great deals and, more importantly, invests in improving customer service by giving feedback to their associates. Leadership’s attention to these concerns would go a long way in maintaining the positive reputation Burlington has built.
