Bought a raft that was discounted $20. The box had clearly been opened and taped shut. My husband specifically asked before we purchased it if it had been returned and potentially had a hole or anything wrong with it, as the discount would not be worth that risk. We were told that it was not a returned item but that the box had fallen off the truck and was damaged, but that it had been checked and all pieces were in the box. We felt good with proceeding with the purchase after being given this information.
Fast forward 50 minutes down the road and three excited kids later, at the river... We open the raft box prepared to get it in the water and not only do we find the plastic instruction bag already ripped open (not sure how that happens from "falling off the truck") but that the most important piece of the raft was missing, the plug that holds in all the air! It was a BIG disappointment.
We were able to return the raft, which is why I have generously given two stars. However, I will not be a retuning customer. We didn't even get so much as a "sorry for the inconvenience" when we returned it. Accidental misinformation about a product you sold us I can accept, but not even pretending to care about the inconvenience it caused our family shows an overall lack of compassion and poor customer relations.
