I attempted to return my Meta Quest 3 headset. During the return process, the staff noted that the serial number on the headset didn’t match the one on the box and, as a result, refused to process the return. I was taken aback, as I had no reason to swap the headset. I suggested that the mismatch might be due to an error on their part, but they dismissed my concerns. I even conducted a quick online search, which revealed that it’s common for the box’s serial number to differ from the individual components’ serial numbers. Despite presenting this information, they remained unhelpful. The manager’s ignorance and lack of assistance were particularly disappointing. Best Buy, you should train your staff to be more knowledgeable and avoid embarrassing customers. I felt insulted, and no apology can make up for that.
