Probably the worst retail experience I’ve had. I’ve been to other Best Buys, but this location is poorly run.
Firstly, the store seemed to have no staff. I went in for a warranty exchange, and there was only one person running the customer service desk AND the geek squad check in simultaneously. They took 30 minutes to assist the one person ahead of me, and when they finally were able to help me, they gave me a printout ticket that I then had to bring to checkout to actually get my exchange done. I’ve been a customer at best buy for years, and they have always taken care of these exchanges in one go as the customer service desk.
I then had to wait another 30 minutes because there was again only one person running both check out and store pickup. When I finally get to the counter, the staff member didn’t know what to actually do with the printout, and had to ask someone on his walkie. When he finally gave me options, because of the hour I had already spent at the store, I opted to take store credit so I could go home.
When I get home, I go online to order a new product to replace the one I returned. As i go to check out, I find that the store credit value was far less than what I was expecting for the product I returned. I check my receipt only to find out that not only was I charged a service fee (again, something I have never had before) but that they also mistakenly charged the fee twice.
I called customer support, only to find out that I have to go back to the same store for an immediate resolution. I am not willing to spend another minute at this location, so I opted for a gift card for the additional refund to be mailed, which can take up to weeks.
This whole ordeal has been far more headache and time-consuming than it needed to be. Any other location has always taken 5 minutes to take care of something like this. This store is severely understaffed, and the staff that are there are poorly trained.
