I LOVE BARREDA'S LOWER LAKE FEED SUPPLY !!!
I am a loyal customer for life. I cannot say enough positive things about this establishment. I go to several different stores, the 1st week of every month, to purchase my bedding & feed for my egg production & show poultry, non-native exotic aviary finches, hummingbirds ( I attract them, as they pollinate my crops & gardens, sadly there are no other pollinators in Lake County ), my exotic hybrid Savannah & Chausie cats & wild birds.
I shop where I find most competitive prices & best quality. I purchase the greatest bulk & spend the most, for all of my animal's needs at BARREDA'S. Not neccessarily because their prices are the lowest, but because I strongly believe in supporting independent family businesses. This is what makes America great & gives way to the fact that the independent, small business CAN STILL SURVIVE, in America today & American families can still achieve the American DREAM. They are possibly the only feed store that offers certified organic &/or CERTIFIED Non GMO feeds. They offer quality feeds, for all types of livestock, all types of fowl, game birds & small animals, that are primarily sourced LOCALLY out of Williams, which is only 44 miles away. This fact alone, one can be sure the products are very fresh & have not spent extended periods of time transit or sitting in warehouses.
Mr. Barreda is a very knowledgeable, proffessional, pleasant, easy going & extremely helpful. Serena, his daughter, works the counter is a very lovely, young woman, who will be more than happy to research & do special orders for you.
Independent businesses offer a much better brand of customer service, because their livelihoods, truly do depend on their patronage. It's not just a
9 to 5, weekly paycheck affair for them. My entire family are successful, independent businesses owners. In my home town , the only feed store was independently run. The prices are a bit more at non corporate businesses, but customer service & the way I am treated as a loyal customer, is a dying art form & is ultimately, way more important to me, than saving a few dollars. I worked with & for my father, at his business as well, for 32 years. I treated people as if they were visiting my family home. I get this feeling there. Mr. Barreda & his daughter have a great sense of humour, which I find extremely refreshing. He, or one of his staff, will be more than happy, to load your bales & sacks of feed for you as well. Most corporates, will not or cannot, do that valuable service for you. If you live in the area or are in need of feed on your way thru, DEFINITELY spend your time & money at BARREDA'S LOWER LAKE FEED SUPPLY. PLEASE NOTE: This business DOES NOT REQUIRE you wear a face mask upon entering, nor do they wear masks themselves. Personally, out of human courtesy, I myself & my husband, do wear a mask, before entering ANY place of business. I GIVE THIS BUSINESS
