Read MoreI So appreciate this Auto Zone. All my encounters with staff here have been so pleasant and helpful. Tonight tops them all. I pulled up this evening to use their code reader as my check engine light came on. Tony handed me the reader and asked if I knew how to use it. I said yes and then asked for a reminder if my car needs to be on or off. He kindly replied to turn it just before the on button. I went back outside, hooked it up and brought it back in when it was done to learn the results. The lady helping me now read off what it was-something I had heard before yet did not get fully fixed last time I was at the mechanic. I prepared to think of what I would do next. Tony passed by and offered a suggestion on how to look up what was needed more specifically which I appreciated, but the computer didn't list it, although he was able to locate on the screen where it normally would come up. He then said, Do you want to do it yourself? I said Yes! I'm all about learning. He then came to look at the part on my vehicle that I would need to replace, and discovered that one of my battery cords was so incredibly loose that you could lift it right off! Something I would Not want to happen. We headed back in the store to purchase the exact part I would need that came with a lifetime warranty for only $67. I bought it, we went back outside, swapped it out for the old one, and he also kindly tightened down the loose cable to my battery, all while explaining little details I could understand and use for the future maintenance of my vehicle. He said go turn on my vehicle, and Bam! NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I was So Grateful and Humbled by his kindness and generosity to share what he knew while empowering me in the process. What. A. Gift. This is something a mechanic charges hundreds of dollars to do! Prayed the Lord to Bless him abundantly for the gift he gave me and Know the Lord Will do just that! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Came home and shared the praise report with my family and they all rejoiced with me of the goodness of God at work in this true gentleman. Keep living for Jesus, dear Tony. He will bless you always.
