I've been going to this store for almost 30 years. I broke one of my 18 mm deep well sockets from my duralast set in have never had to exchange a tool before but it was hassle free and they honored the warranty exchanging it with a new socket. I didn't have to show my receipt or anything and who would have that handy as it's been more than 10 years. Nice job AutoZone Just wanted to add a second review today or a couple of recent visits on July 8th time I was able to do it back with an employee named Hayden. He was professional, polite, had a positive energy about him, knowledgeable, and helpful. One time I walked in and I was frustrated and he could see it in my face and acknowledged my feelings. Not many people are willing to do that. They may observe something but not say anything. I appreciate my feelings being validated so to speak and I felt valued as a customer as a result. I hope when others go in and Hayden's working they appreciate him as much as I have. Too many times in customer service people come in angry and it's a real skill to be able to diffuse the anger or the frustration. Thank you Hayden for all the help with the HVAC loaner equipment and just being a good friendly person! Always try to be fair and provide both positive responses and less than positive responses. Today was a terrible experience went to rent the OBD tool and the young man who was new didn't even know what it was. Definitely not his fault as there's a lot to learn about cars and automotive. But when we finally did locate it and he realized I wasn't there to purchase one, he called his boss and they said they didn't have it which meant that someone didn't return it. But instead of being proactive as a store and getting a new one in they haven't had one to rent for a while which is poor customer service. Maybe now that they see this negative evaluation they'll go out and get one. Obviously they had to have a deposit when they rented one out so they could have easily bought another one or pulled one off the shelf to put it back in the rental tools. So I'm left hanging today which is very disappointing. On November 13th, I went into this store which I've been going to for 30 plus years. I was frustrated from the experience at the Broadway store few weeks ago. They couldn't do anything with my account they said even though they were managers. All my purchase history was lost in someone else's name was on my account. I was just livid after that experience. I went into the Chapman store and told manager Donovan about it. He was very concerned and proactive and took care of everything saving all of my accounts under my current phone number and I had three previous phone numbers so that was a bit of work. But they were all under my current phone number a month ago? And somehow disappeared? I can't Believe Management at the hub store on Broadway couldn't figure that out or didn't want to try. I'm very loyal to AutoZone and have been for 35 years and Donovan should get a purple heart in a commendation for what he did for me. I hope those reading this including Donovan will know how much he's appreciated and truly cares about the customers.!
