After my brief career at Athleta- you can see why GAP INC is closing 350 stores in North America alone. Good people don’t leave good jobs.. they leave because of bad bosses, and poor management, who don’t appreciate their value. I never understood why companies don’t pay attention to the great employees they have while they are there. Had you treated the original new great employees better maybe you wouldn’t be closing as many stores and laying off as many people. It’s time to restructure your area managers, district managers, and last but most importantly your store managers. With the vast choices in the competitive retail industry- people will always quit bad managers. Maybe stop focusing so much on pushing credit cards and start caring about your actual clientele and employees. Athleta spent an obscene amount of training hours pushing size inclusion only to cut all plus sizes out of the vast majority of old stores as well as new build-outs. Let’s practice what we preach Athleta! Be the change don’t just “talk” about it.
