Amazing experience as a wheelchair user and with disabled family. Every path and area was well layed out to accommodate wheelchairs. One of the exhibits had an option to walk up to it as well so had a ramp for chairs so no one missed out....Read More

I recently visited the Art Preserve at 3636 Lower Falls Rd, in Sheboygan, WI. I guess you start off before you actually enter the building. I loved the exterior of the front of the building and the wilderness feeling it creates. In addition, there are...Read More

The Art Preserve is a must stop if you are visiting the Sheboygan area. I stopped in Saturday with my boys, and both of them love art. There are many collections to look at on three different floors. Don't forget to check out the bathrooms...Read More

I’m not sure any review of this museum could do it justice. The artwork may come from the fringes but it’s fascinating and the presentations are unique and world class. Having especially made the trip up from Chicago (where I was staying for the week),...Read More

Beautiful facility. Unique and unusual works. Each display of art work or created object was wonderfully displayed with enough written information or even old time movies to make it very interesting and thought provoking. An Open mind is advised, especially on the very out of...Read More

First thing you do is enter through an impressive front entrance, which gives a good feel for what is to come. Three floors, each with a variety of exhibits for individual artists(and one that’s a grab bag for different artists). Be sure to check out...Read More

Fantastic museum with loads of quality outsider art in a beautiful setting. The displays are attractive and informative allowing for 360 degree views of many of the pieces. I plan to return to see more of their collections.

Fabulous building an art. The art preserve showcases the work of more than 30 environment builders – artists whose imaginations and worldviews take immersive and physical form, who often turned their entire homes and lives into works of art.

Came to the preserve on a whim and was happy I did! The building is big, charming, and incredibly clean and easy to move around in. Service was light but good when provided, no problems there! For a free admission you get your eyeful...Read More

I'm fascinated by people who make art, and don't give a rat's patootie whether people think it's strange, confusing, over the top, or even crazy. This place is dedicated to those people. Even the building design supports that idea. Admission is free, but contributions...Read More

THIS STRIKING MUSEUM CONTAINS SOMETHING QUITE UNIQUE Namely artist-built environments saved by a very dedicated patron of the arts, Ruth DeYoung Kohler II. Essentially, if an artist turned their house into an artwork over many years, this is the place where they have been transported to and...Read More

Now my second favorite art museum, behind the Milwaukee Public Museum There's something for everyone here, and I have actually heard of the majority of the artists here (which is rare for me) For those who are wondering how long they should spend here, I spent exactly...Read More

Gorgeous site with eclectic views of the grounds, a wide range of art preservation collections, and I have to say, check out the bathrooms on the 1st and 3rd floors. They do not disappoint.

Stunning, unique & culturally varied exhibit. The building itself is beautiful, the exhibits are thoughtfully curated with a lot of respect for the artists. You leave with a sense of positive unease and provocation.

Wonderfully curated museum. 100's of artworks by each artist in each installation. Focused on localized obsessive creators. Each grouping creates an image of their life's focus. The museum itself is spacious and inviting. Curious wall angles season the open spaces creating comfortable alcoves to view. Staff...Read More

The architecture of the building itself is worth the visit - absolutely stunning! There are fewer artists featured than a larger museum/gallery, but this ends up making the experience feel more intimate when exploring each section. The selection still feels quite sizable, and you can...Read More

A lovely experience. A nice free museum to cool down on a hot day. They had a really well done kids activity booklet that followed the art. Their modern forest entrance really set the stage. We enjoyed the third floor bathrooms, definitely worth a visit.
