Bless Paul Roy and Angel. I am currently down on my luck and sob story aside, had my laptop slide off my lap while I was 😴 sleeping. Although the wait was long and I had to get their attention a few times, I was finally taken in. The crowding was a bit much, I will admit, even for a mainstream store in a mall. No excuses for the over congestion. Some apple tech actually asked for me to move from my seat so another customer could sit there. I was incredibly offended. So why the five star review? Their customer service in the end completely made up for anything I felt prior.. I explained 500+ was a tremendous amount for just a screen crack, I've had apple care, I only cancelled it on accident because I thought it was an online security related product or something. (It was a vague email one night asking if I wanted to renew. I said no because I thought it was spam etc something I didn't need anymore from apple. I didn't know that covered my physical repairs. I'm android. I don't know how apple works. I'm new to their system etc.) So that being said they ask ifI can prove if I had applecare. I luckily had the receipt in my front pocket all wrapped up like a scroll. Angel takes it, confirms it, knows I'd gladly rejoin apple care now that I know what it even is (after 3 years of paying for it go figure you forget), and walks off to get his manager. He comes back after I asked if we could lower the price. I said I'll pay but this isn't me trying to get a free handout thing. I didn't throw it at a wal etc. He understood and knocked the priced for me down $150.
I love these people. They negotiated and saw the honesty in my eyes. I loved that. They really, really helped me out. I even plan on calling corporate to let them know how amazed I was with the person to person connection and financial assistance they gave me. These people didn't just help me with my repair. They helped me with life in general. I am still waiting for the repair, it is taking longer than expected, but hey its a laptop and they already did that big favor for me so waiting is the least I can do.
