Nestled in the middle of nowhere (aka Lancaster), this place is a hidden gem. Designed and built by self-taught artist Howard Edwards, which is why it looks like a cross between Swiss Family Robinson home and an old West trading post. The local rock formations...Read More

Wonderful historic place. Takes you many years back, imaginary experiences will gain from it, little get away from the big city to middle of mountains this museum located.

Love it. When you get off the highway you get the sence that you're going the wrong way but once you arrive surprise. Whoever built the house had quite an imagination, the way he or she integrated the big rock formations and adapted them as...Read More

Very nice place, definitely very informative. And to think people used to live out in the antelope valley before Air conditioning. And traded with other native Americans as far as the coast.

This was such a cool place to visit with the kids, there's a lot of information when it comes to the history. The art work within the museum is very authentic and represents the culture very well.

This place has a great history of local tribes if you are looking to learn about the native Americans who were here before everyone dating back to 5000BCE and probably earlier. No dogs allowed, but if you bring them, keep them in the parking lot.
They have restrooms, and you are not required to dig a hole and pop a squat like they might have done years ago.

Very nice little museum on the Indians in the area. There are small hiking trails around that give nice views of the desert.

So bizarre it is awesome. Great way to burn a few hours, see some very interesting architecture, and learn about early area history. Some amazing Ancestral Puebloan artifacts.

Beautiful building and decor with amazing artifacts collections. The surrounding desert is breathtaking. The natural trail is short and fun. A great detour for the whole family. The entrance fee receipt can be used to enter other nearby state parks on the same day for...Read More

So surprised by the chalet style in the desert. Friendly staff, amazing natural setting. Even the bathrooms are historic. Take the nature trail for sure.

I loved this museum and the event. It was very educational and entertaining. The staff was really friendly. My tip would be to take an umbrella because it does get hot due to it being in the desert. If there is not any parking in...Read More

It’s been nearly a decade since my last visit, but I still think about it often. I love the architecture. The improvisation of materials for building, built into the stone around it. I live the intricacies of the artwork. And that’s just the building. Lots of artifacts...Read More

They have bathrooms, it was very clean.Didn't see dogs, but they have a small hike that would be perfect for doggos. Just maybe dont go in summer with your pup as it can be 100F +. in fall winter and spring much more dog friendly weatherThey have picnic tables so you can snack or eat some lunch while you explore the museum and park grounds.
