My personal experience:
Just called into this bakery to ask for information on wedding cakes and the woman who answered the phone was so incredibly rude. She acted like I was an annoyance and her tone was continuously condescending. At first I thought maybe I said or did something to offend her, so I kept being respectful and tried to explain what I was looking for, she clarified that there is no website or email that I could contact (which is understandable) and so I asked if the best thing would be for me to come into the bakery in person to speak to someone. Halfway through my sentence she interrupts and says there is another customer, “Goodbye,” and hangs up. I was baffled. Who treats a potential customer like that?? Bakersfield is not a big city. A bad reputation travels fast around here. From my experience in wedding planning and event coordination, I encourage whoever is reading this to choose vendors (even though perhaps slightly more expensive) who will make your life easier and work with you, especially for occasions as stressful as weddings. Some headaches and attitudes aren’t worth the few dollars saved. Kindness matters. That is just my opinion.
