I've been ordering, exclusively, from this place for over a year. I just wanted to see the distribution point of my food.
I was pleasantly surprised.
It is very clean, with wide aisles and soft colors. Mixed in among customers are Amazon employees, quietly scurrying from product to product assembling my neighbors' orders.
Aisles upon aisles of literately everything from soup to nuts. A butcher, a baker. A candlestick.
There is also a coffee area that is a better quick-break spot than any Starbucks. Large and quiet, you can sip your favorite latte or peruse the fare at their in-house delicatessen. The free wifi completes the experience. Thrilling.
Can I be blamed for gushing? More places like this, in my neighborhood, in my city, in my state, in my country, might just be the cure for the stress and high blood pressure everyone seems to suffer from these days.
Amazon Prime Day is coming July 11th & 12th. Very good prices on everything. I joined Amazon One while I was there; I paid for my purchase just by hovering my hand over the reader. Super nice.
It's also a convenient place to make Amazon returns. No packing, no printing. Just show the email from Amazon to the girl at the counter. That's it, plus you get a coupon for $10 off your next purchase of $40. How cool is that?
When you 'Pay by Palm', the Amazon associate asks you if you'd like a receipt emailed to you, or would you like to have a printed copy. As a recovering trash maker, I asked for one to be emailed to me. My phone makes a squeak when I get an email; it squeaked before I could ask her how long until I received the email. Sensational.
Sad that they are changing the Happy Belly product name to just 'Fresh'. I liked that name. The associate said that on my receipt, there was a link to comments and suggestions. Perhaps I'd like to speak directly to the management about my thoughts on the matter?
Just recently, i've decided to do all my shopping for fish, dairy, and meats at Amazon Fresh. They sell fresh fish clean, fileted, and prepackaged for individual servings. Amazing. They do this specifically for Amazon, on the fishing vessel itself. As in, somebody thought this whole process through. "Hey, Nicholas likes fresh fish - cleaned, fileted, and at a low cost. I wonder if he would buy it from Amazon if that is exactly what we brought him?"
Yes. Yes, I would. Thanks for telling me.
This is what shopping looks like today. I've added a few pictures from my visit today of the wonderful bounty of fish that I had to choose from. Cost? $35 for 10 pounds of the freshest Yellowtail Tuna, Alaska Salmon, and Pacific Cod that is available anywhere. I am not kidding.
So, visit this place. Enjoy yourself. Save. Wow.
