I am extremely disappointed with the level of care and service provided at this office. My father had an urgent eye issue that required immediate attention, yet the staff demonstrated a complete lack of compassion and urgency, prioritizing financial concerns over patient care.
When I called the office the day before, Azita initially refused to schedule an appointment due to insurance concerns. I explained that I was willing to pay out of pocket because of the urgent nature of the situation, but instead of focusing on my father’s critical condition, she made sure to emphasize a $75 no-show fee. It was disheartening to hear that a potential fee was more important than addressing a medical emergency.
When we arrived at the office, Azita was again unhelpful and insisted on collecting payment before we had any understanding of my father’s condition. I complied, but unfortunately, this did not lead to any improvement in service. The doctor and staff, who are Farsi-speaking, made no effort to communicate with my father in his native language, making it even more difficult for him to convey his concerns during a stressful and urgent situation.
Dr. Yeroushalmi’s demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. He conducted a rushed examination, repeatedly stating that he could not assist us, and abruptly ushered us out of the room. While he eventually processed a refund, the lack of empathy and professionalism we experienced throughout the visit was unacceptable.
It is deeply concerning to witness a medical office place financial considerations above patient well-being, particularly in an emergency situation. I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.
