When I went into the place, the owner was pretty nice. Gave good advice and direction on which shotgun would be best for me. And we had pretty good conversations. Since I require something specific, and since gun manufacturing has slown down due to covid, as was explained to me, it was going to take a bit longer to find what I was looking for. Which I understand. I have called maybe once every two weeks for two months to check in and see if anything has come in. Each time I've been advised that there is still a wait. About 2 weeks ago the owner told me that he may have something coming in that suites me and we talked about a second firearm being purchased. I called today only to be told that he has nothing except for a shotgun that was damaged in which he was going to return unless I wanted to check it out and buy it. A total nudge into a rude attempt to basically tell me he still doesn't have it. Who on earth would want to buy a damaged gun that could cause liability issues?? Why not just say... nope, still nothin... so sorry. And all I would do is say ok, I'll check back later. Hoping I'd be able to make some sort of purchase with this guy and support a local business. I'll happily go to Bakersfield where there is a sense of customer service before stepping foot into that nonsense. And bring a few people I know who would like to purchase along with me to support businesses that have better manners.
