Read MoreVERY UNPROFESSIONAL! This was my first haircut at this place and I was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. I get to this place and walk into this guys living room with 3 random people just staring at me (all non-customers). I’m also immediately hit with the smell of weed. The barber then takes me to another area where he cuts my hair. On my way through I notice how messy and dirty it is. He then informs me that he had a party there the night before. I sit down in the chair and tell him what I want and he begins to cut my hair. He then tells me he took a shot of tequila right before I showed up. It’s too late to back out of the haircut so I awkwardly laugh it off and hope he finishes quickly. As I sit, more random people show up and they begin to drink alcohol in the living room which I can see from where my hair is being cut. One of them comes over and hands my barber a handle of alcohol and tell him to take a shot. HE STOPS MY HAIRCUT AND TAKES A DRINK!!! I cannot tell you how appalled I was. He then finishes my simple fade that took him 45 minutes when it should’ve taken 30 minutes tops. It should not take that long. Then he tells me that it costs $40 for the cut. A ripoff compared to the “nice” places in La Crosse. If I can dissuade you from avoiding any place in the La Crosse area it is Tone’s House Cuts. I have had my haircut many places in the area and this was by far the worst experience I have had. The haircut was okay which is the only redeeming quality this place had. If there was a rating below 1 star then that’s what the rating should be.
