Read MoreMy daughter and I joined the “Studio Family” almost 4 years ago and are incredibly grateful to have them in our lives. (And I don't use that term loosely, they have become a “family” in every sense of the word.) Master Pourarian has created an environment that truly fosters personal growth and instills a strong set of values and morals in all of her students, with the higher purpose of effecting positive change in the community that we all call home. In our years there we have experienced nearly every program they offer, all with their own unique positive attributes. We both take taekwondo – I just tested for my second degree black belt, my daughter started at age 4 in the Tiny Tiger program (which has been life changing for her in too many ways to list), and will be testing for her black belt this fall. We take fitness and ninja classes, have taken almost all the extra workshops, my daughter goes to their summer camp every year, she had her 5th bday party there...and I can sincerely say that I would recommend all of it to anyone looking for meaningful and fun experiences in their life and who wants to feel the strong presence of community and family. The entire staff is amazing and The Studio has become a second home to us. The Studio has become my refuge in hard times and has served as a place for self-care, a supportive environment to work on self-improvement, and encourages even more personal growth by continually pushing us comfortably outside of our comfort zone. I appreciate Master P's ability to individualize her instruction and teach to everyone based on their needs even in the largest classes...and especially now while teaching to students both in person, on zoom, and taking the recorded class later when they find the time. Not only that, but no two classes are ever the same....literally never. Her ability to pivot so quickly, during such tumultuous times since the start of the pandemic, and continue offering classes in so many different formats, to accommodate the most people possible has been impressive to watch. We feel fortunate to have found a place where we can learn from two Masters, and a team of instructors supporting them, with so much technical skill and experience and a continuous desire to learn and incorporate the newest knowledge and technique into their teaching practice. I don't often see leaders that are truly dedicated to perpetually evolving, adapting, and enhancing their teachings as Master P and her team do. They serve as strong role models, living the tenets they teach to their students and sharing a genuine commitment to bettering the lives of those around them and spreading that spirit to as many people as they can. This is what we are most appreciative of, what I really feel sets them apart, and what keeps us so committed. You can see and feel the heart and soul that gets poured into that place...
