my son who is 5 years old got injured during an open space play last month. He had a hole in his back of his head and they did not call an ambulance. By law, head trauma requires an ambulance call.(Previously, I did not get a call when my child got sick in school and they left him stayed with dirty clothes where vomitus all over him. My babysitter was shocked to see him when she went to pick him up later. I have not informed properly that my child got injured and he left to stayed there feeling sick crying till 6 pm. If I knew it I would picked him up right away) . After calling ambulance we ended in pediatric ER so he could get sutures to close to hole, if you imagine how traumatized it is for my son as well as for me where he did get 6 staples. I called an officer also to report ed it and I complained. I know we as parents we are in the rush to catch to bus or get to work and we do not realize and we simply trust the child care provider and from outside it looks okay place but certain objects like tables without proper child proof(sharp edges) and metal chairs should not be left in the confined room when 20 kids running around. When I asked why is this table is here, owners response was well I do not know its been there forever.. I dont even have a coffee table when I have two boys to prevent incidents. Accidents happen in anywhere but thats the prevention for, reduce the chances of getting injured. I was in shock that this place is not child proof required by law but unprofessional explanation given to me when my son got hurt. My child and I suffered deeply and I could not sleep for a week thinking what happens if he has a head trauma after and I do not want this to happen any other child . Please go inside take a look at it make sure they follow the law and regulations ask for inspection records, where they fail.. I am in public health so I know the regulations codes. During drop off or pick up, I stay with them and observe everything. If I knew the kids were playing in that confined area without proper ventilation also, with tables and sharp objects around I would definitely have them corrected in the first place. what is more upsetting is that we did not even get a phone call to ask how my child is doing well? it is simply business oriented and they do not think about children's well being. I am not a person comments or gives negative feed back but today is my child and tomorrow it could be anyone's child. Its the worst feeling in the world to see your child suffer as a parent. I am deeply disappointed .
