A beautiful, peaceful spot right on the Suwannee River. If you're driving up Highway 441 just past the Florida-Georgia line, I highly recommend making a stop. It's well worth the detour.

Visited the monument on our way to the Stephen Foster Park. Interesting surrounding location, peaceful place to rest. Gorgeous river level views.

It's a beautiful place! There were kids swimming in the Suwannee River after jumping from a cypress trunk!! The trails led back into the woods and along the river. (Don't wear your good shoes..lol!) Sand and mud and water the color of sweet tea!...Read More

This is a nice little place. There is a boat launch for small fishing boats. Picnic area . The welcome center has been closed for some time now.
