Cool place to visit, experience the museum, take a walk along the Gulf. Do a little fishing, put your boat in a couple blocks away at the boat ramp. Great spot to enjoy the sweet smell of fresh waters of the Gulf and relax.

Beautiful lighthouse and keepers quarters in a beautiful setting. You can't climb the lighthouse, but the quarters are open limited hours. Nice drive out to it through the wildlife refuge. Saw different shorebirds, alligators.

Well worth the detour—and $5 parking fee—from our normal route. Will have to return when we have more time. Would like to see the lighthouse offer tours, especially considering its age.
