Update: PLEASE do not be fooled by the response from the owner mentioning “billing is done by the company” that was never explained/stated. Their office insisted that the bill needed to be paid and they denied being notified twice about termination. On top of that. They sent me to collections for a $12 due last week. It’s honestly laughable. What a joke.
I do not like having to write disgruntled reviews like this but the service I have received from this office has been a mess from day one. I was grandfathered into the Shay Davidov Allstate Agency after my previous agent sold her company. I was so annoyed with the service here with Shay Davidov that I canceled my condo insurance with them. And found another agency (StateFarm, in case anyone is wondering; they have cheaper rates too) I made Shay’s office aware via phone and email that I would be terminating my policy. And inquired if any pending amounts were due. I was told by Airee that no bills were due or pending. And I was “good to go.” A week later, I received another bill after being told I was “good to go.” Now, after a few emails, I am getting the runaround, and the office says there is nothing they can do for me. And to call customer service, but guess what? When you call customer service, you are rerouted to speak to this same office. Ask to speak to Shay and “Shay is in a meeting etc”. No one in their office is able to handle issues, but they are happy to hound you via phone or email when a bill is due. Don’t let the happy reviews fool you; their rates are incredibly high even for Florida, terrible customer service, and no one can keep track of things in their office.
