Read MoreUPDATE June 2025: I left my initial review of 5 stars in Jan 2025 after two experiences. In June of 2025 I have changed my rating. I brought two photos of myself with past hair cuts to get just a cut. In these photos I showed curtain bangs and a short angular bob. She snipped them super thin, short bangs, leaving them limp, and almost laughing at them. She added layers to the bob, without my consent, not asking if I wanted them. Several times, as I recall my past appointments, when I would ask her to alter course, such as when I asked her to make the hair cut shorter (which ended up too short), she would assure me she wasn’t finished yet and that I couldnt see what she was seeing. It didn’t get better with the layers and I couldn’t tell her to stop halfway done with something. She also messed up the cut and had to style it to make sure it was even. She charged me $35 in total, and I noticed afterwards it was supposed to be $25 for just a cut which was all I had asked for. Where the mistake was her fault, I asked for a refund of the difference which she did give.
Anita doesn’t ask enough clarifying questions before she acts, doesn’t check with the client often enough. Make sure you give her all the details before you sit in the chair. There is a lot of communication issues in this salon. I will be outright and say that I felt that I could have been better as well.
As for my bangs being thin and my not knowing beforehand, my hair used to be stronger before she had done the bleach job back in January, and I know its possible to have it done while maintaining integrity. I also felt she could have possibly collected more hair before cutting them or informed me I would not get the desired effect as a professional stylist. After careful consideration of my past experiences, when I remember these flags also cropped up then, I have reduced my rating.

Anita was amazing, was understanding of me and my anxiety and change. She was ahead of every one of my worries. This was my second time going to her, and I will definitely be back. Don't doubt her
