I’m disappointed to see that they’re changing product lines and no longer carrying the "My Black is Beautiful" Intense Recovery Treatment at my local Sally’s. This product has been a lifesaver for me after bleaching my hair—it adds moisture, seals, and repairs without causing damage.
It seems like they’re phasing out some of the generic products as well. I just tried their generic toner, and while it didn’t dry my hair out like some others, it didn’t give me the platinum result that Wella T18 does. Instead, I got more of an ash tone with a blue hue, which is fine, but I prefer the champagne platinum look.
A little change is okay, but I recommend using a clarifying shampoo before coloring or bleaching to remove any product buildup. This helps avoid banding and hot roots! Always use the correct amount of developer and volume, and make sure to read the labels to avoid any unwanted orange or yellow tones. Just a heads-up—nobody wants fried hair!
