I have several different points that I want to make with this review. Some are compliments while others are complaints.
First, my water heater burst and flooded my basement. After we shop vac'd the water the previous night, Jonathan, their technician came in early the next morning and installed a new water heater with a pressure relieving valve. He was very courteous and professional.
With the salesman's encouragement, I had decided to file a claim with my insurance company because of water damage, so another great technician named Kyle came in the following day and provided two large dehumidifiers and began the process of drying out my basement.
Over the weekend, I had a change of heart and decided to cancel the claim as the damage wasn't that bad and I have a friend who could replace the drywall and baseboards for very little labor costs.
So I called Kyle Monday morning to let him know of my decision and he was very courteous and understanding and asked if it was all right if he came the next day to pick up his equipment. To be honest, the machines had been off since Sunday, so basically they were in use for 2 days. So I guess I could have let it run for another day but, either way I didn't mind the wait.
I really can't say enough nice things about Kyle and Jonathan.
Now a little bit of complaining. The cost. While I did look up prices and Roto-Rooter had the most competitive price for installation of the water heater, I've got to say that the price for the dehumidifiers and asbestos testing for two days seemed very expensive. We're talking over $800.
One other thing I don't recall having explained to me is if I have any type of warranty on this water heater. Maybe I need to look through my paperwork.
Lastly, the unexpected visit from the salesman regarding the water damage... I think you all should let your customers know to expect that. That was kind of uncomfortable.
PS, Kelley on the phone was very nice!
Why I gave 3 stars,
Professionalism, courtesy, quality of workmanship.
Why I didn't give 4 or 5 stars,
Price of mitigation/drying following cancellation of claim seemed excessive.
Unannounced salesman visit.
