I lived a hermit then decided to join the credit building world. Almost signed to buy a car when they suggested Progressive insurance (I actually got a quote from 4 different agencies). You want just under $1,400. For 6 months. Last I had a car it was under $350. For 6 months (2019).
I am an introvert. I work from home making handmade items that gift stores buy from me. Sales are online, post office picks the packages up from my home. I'm 100% working my own business 100% from home doing something I love to do. I rarely go to stores because they all deliver and again I'm an introvert. Never abused substance nor used any legal nor illegal substances in my life (Im 49 years old, got my license when I was 16). I never used my phone in a vehicle when Im the driver. I wait for a stop sign or red light to light my cigarette and my butt bucket is "hand to bucket memory" so my eyes stay on the road. I use cruise control 80% of the time. When I leave my house it's to hang out in a forest for day's (National forest allows 2 weeks a month) and my vehicle is parked at my campsite because I sleep in it (safety, you can lock a car not a tent). I also visit my Granddaughter. Twice a year I drive to W.V. it's a 3 hour drive but the café has the best southern food and the people are refreshing.
I canceled the car purchase. I will continue to borrow cars and renting them because the lowest quote I got (not from you, you cost the most) was $1,010. For 6 months.
You insurance companies are punishing me for being a damn good law abiding, life loving, citizen who truly just wants to be left alone to enjoy the last 20 years of my life.
Ridiculous!
