First off, he made a careless yet costly mistake of improperly fastening two segments of a pipe such that every time we did laundry, the poorly fastened connector would cause a fountain of water to fill our basement.
Secondly, just recently we discovered that the plumbing work he did outside also resulted in a fountain-like burst of water any time we would turn on our sprinkler system. It's my understanding that a plumber's work is suppose to last more than just for the summer season.
What outraged us the most was his utterly rude, unprofessional and juvenile response and complete refusal to own up to his mistake when I contacted him and made him aware of the fact that his service left our plumbing worse than it had originally been. The least he could have done is promptly called me back and apologized instead of yelling at my wife with his bluntly sexist attitude.
The other day I left him a polite voicemail addressing the second problem. Unsurprisingly, he chose not to return my phone call.
