The pump in my well was continuously coming on every few moments. I reached out to the plumber who had previously fitted my pressure tank, and he suggested that the issue was likely a faulty check valve in the well. He recommended getting a well driller to handle the submersible pump. Instead, I chose to call another service and I'm really pleased that I did. The owner/manager, Mason, agreed with the initial diagnosis but suggested they could set up a check valve inside the house's water line to serve the same purpose. Regrettably, he wasn't able to send anyone for a couple of days. But then, to my surprise, Mason called back a few hours later to say he had rearranged some jobs and could send someone the next day. When the plumber, Gregory, showed up, he found out that in addition to the check valve issue, the bladder in the pressure tank was also faulty. Instead of maintaining any air pressure, the tank was mostly full of water! Gregory swiftly installed a new tank and added the check valve in the water line. Now, our system is operating perfectly once again! The work was carried out effectively, promptly, and for a reasonable price. I couldn't have asked for more! Just to clarify, the two issues weren't interconnected. It was merely a coincidence that they occurred at the same time. The check valve in the well might have been deteriorating over a period of time, but until the tank malfunctioned, it might have taken longer for the water to seep back into the well. However, once the tank filled with water, there was no storage for the water, so it started leaking back into the well immediately after the pump functioned. I'm grateful for the excellent job done by Mason and Gregory in Westminster!
