My manicurist Pattie C did an amazing job on my nails!! I can’t wait to go back. She took my passion and imagination and used her skills to turn it into a reality. She was patient and really listened to what I wanted. I am really impressed by her skills, it speaks volumes to the quality of the students at this school! Thanks again Pattie!! You’re the absolute best!!

I have been a student since August 2023, I’m currently enrolled in the advanced cosmetology here at Milan. I absolutely love this school but what has made it honestly the best is the teachers, one teacher in particular, Ms. Lynae Thornton has been such a inspiration and amazing role model, I hope I can work my way up to her level in my career one day. She not only is always ready and available to help she loves helping us and it shows, she has helped me overcome my anxiety and fears of taking on clients and always pumps us up and makes us feel we are doing a good job and that has meant so much!!! She really has made this 2023/2024 school year amazing I’m truly grateful for her help and encouragement and support and it truly shows that she actually cares about us !! So thank you for seriously being the best teacher we can have and when I tell you I’m not the only student who thinks this! 🩷

Big Thank You to Jackie and Veronica for doing such a great job dying my hair for me and for really listening to me about my visit for my hair. Those girls worked so hard and it really paid off. I also really wanna give a big thank you to the hair instructors! They were so wonderful to talk with and helping the girls when needed. I loved every moment of this experience! I will 100% do it again.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with Minnie, and I am beyond impressed with her exceptional service and expertise regarding the program I was considering. Minnie not only addressed all my questions and concerns but also efficiently guided me through the enrollment process during our meeting. I am a current student enrolled in the Esthetician program, I started off in the evening program and switched over to the day program. My experience in the day program has been amazing, Ms.Ally specifically has been really helpful! She is very hands on and eager to teach! She has such great, friendly energy and you can tell she has a passion for sharing her knowledge of the industry with us students. She has not only been a great instructor, but an amazing person to talk to and learn from!

I’m currently at student at Milan!Staff is amazing and very helpful my enrollment process was fast and easy with Sondra she made me feel welcome and excited about going back to school. She was respectful and honestly about every step to take on going to Milan and helped me understand everything completely.Now on my second week of school and Everything is going amazing me and my sister love the energy from everyone we have talked to and we feel like we can be ourselves around everyone and the feeling of not being judged at all.

Coming to Milan has been a wonderful and beautiful experience. During my time I've had to pleasure to encounter. Many instructors all have incredible wonderful personality and skills. I would like to give a shout out To Miss Melissa and Miss courtney. Who have had many patients with working with me, And who have helped me in many ways to understand what being a barber means. All the Women in Milan have been nothing but kind and beautiful, love all you girls💯❤️🙏

I’m grateful to have had Sisalee as my phase one instructor. She knows her stuff and is thorough in making sure we understand it too. She set the tone for how we should continue into our education. And, even now, continues to be a consistent resource for any student invested enough to listen.Ashlie and Cessa are great out on the floor. They care about making sure we make the most of our time in school and always share tips in the moment to help us be successful in the real world.

Went and saw Ramon today and it was a great experience! He said it was his first time doing a cut like mine (mohawk) but he nailed it! He took his time and made sure that it was exactly like I wanted. Then he expertly lightened it (I am about a 6 normally and we got it to a light yellow in one session). His instructors were right there to help with any questions he or I had. They were encouraging and I felt like he was eager to learn new things. I'd go back any day and let him do it again. He's also just a cool dude, overall. Awesome experience.

Currently a student at Milan, I really like this school. They will help you if you need help and they also will be there for you if you are feeling down. My teacher was Miss Lisa and some days she was hard on us but in a good way so we can know what we are doing before we head to the floor. She was a very helpful person and her vibes were just awesome never will I forget these good memories. Thank you for all your support and help when I needed it Miss Lisa <3

Cessa, you are the teacher I always think to go to when I feel stuck doing a service. You are always so supportive, and I can't explain how much I appreciate that. School would not have been the same without you. You always believed in us and showed up when it mattered the most. Thank you for the McFlurries we would eat every night haha.

I GOT ENROLLED TODAY!!!! Its a really big step for me and i was very hesitant but Lori Ortiz DEFINITELY assured me that my career is important to Milan. Im excited to see how this goes and so excited to start school and change my life for the better. Lori was such an angel. She really helped me figure out my goals and made everything easy for me. She is such a great Administrator !

I want to share a moment of gratitude to my instructors who helped me in my phase one journey. Ms.codianni, Melissa and S. Michelle have been detail and patient in their teaching. I find them to be respectful and kind. I appreciate how they review material with detail and their hands on instruction. Always willing to answer students question. I appreciate you... thank you

I graduated from the Esthetician program here at Milan back in April 2024. I encountered a multitude of unprofessional interactions and responses from Milan’s administration team. The amount of miscommunication was ridiculous. The times I had encountered a problem with any admin, it would have taken them more than a day to respond back, if they even got around to it. When they got around to responding back, the issue I had brought to their attention was treated like it was an inconvenience and I was at fault for having an “issue” with them.On one occasion when arriving to school to attend my normal MTW Day classes, they had a note posted on the door saying classes had been canceled. Reaching out to any member of admin or educator was already difficult to do since their main form of communication happened on Teams. If i tried calling Milan before opening hours, no one would pick up the phone. So I sent my message asking about the note and even my teacher had no idea what was going on. Being someone who would get dropped off at school, my ride needed to go, so I left with them. Come to my knowledge that the sign posted was for their Saturday class. (No date was posted on the sign). Also keep in mind that many others there also left. When reaching back out to see if I could get my hours for missing out on it because of the notice on the door, all I received back was that it was my responsibility to have done my part and reach out to someone or waited until class was supposed to be in session . When letting know that I did reach out, they then proceeded to tell me that as a student, I should be entering from the back door instead of the front because we were not allowed to park out front. When I questioned them why they put the sign at the front door if students are supposed to go to the back, they made an unprofessional remark of “to make sure everyone was aware”, which contradicts their defending statement. All in all, I did not get my hours and had to make them up on my personal time outside of class.During my time of attendance, there were many educators that ceased to be helpful in anyway. I felt as if I paid to come sit down for 8 hours and have no one guide us.When graduating, we were told that someone from their admin team would reach out to us to help schedule our Statebaord exams. Some of my fellow classmates went months without notice, while others were notified immediately. With my experiences I constantly bugged them to schedule my meeting. When I finally got my meeting scheduled, I drove out to my appointment( I live about 25-30mins away) just to arrive and find out that my appointment was cancelled. I had received no commutation about it and when bringing it up with admin, they told me that it is not their responsibility to be aware of appointments scheduled for our state board exams.When I went back to reschedule, I had to go through the same process of constantly bugging someone from admin just for them to tell me that they will be in touch with me soon. It never happened, so i continued to bug them and finally got to schedule my exam thst I needed. When bringing this up to admin, they told me that I should be grateful to have even got in for a meeting because of how impacted it is.When enrolling into the program, they did not tell us that we were a hybrid program. We were 2 days in person and 1 day of online learning. I did not sign up to sit at home on zoom and they failed to mention it until the week of us having to be online.There are more countless of unprofessional, lack of communication, inconsistent experiences that not just myself, but other students have encountered. This is just a glimpse of what Milan has to offer.If you are looking for your first step into becoming a licensed professional in the world of beauty, I will 100% advise you to look elsewhere than Milan. Unless you are someone willing to put up with lack of communication, unprofessionalism, inconsistency, and an overall poor education experience may Milan be your number one pick for that.

I was a student enrolled. I previously took a break for personal reasons. I went to school to get my hair done with my child. Who was gonna be watched by my friends since they all wanted to meet him. While being there Zane was non stop starring at me making me uncomfortable. Then proceeds to gossip like a teenage to other instructors including Ms.liz and Ms. Jasmine. About my child being at the school with me. Everything was being talked about before my friend started the bleach process. My friend came and took my kid so I can finish my hair. They then came up to me and told me my services are being canceled due to my son not having a babysitter. After seeing my son was no longer near me. zane, Miss Jasmine and Mrs. liz all gathered around me letting me know my services Continued that my son cannot be watched on the premises. My son cannot be watched in the wait area, and my son cannot be watched outside of the school. With bleach in my hair they all gathered around me saying I just had to wash out my hair and leave. There management later came and let me know before before I had washed out my bleach that my son could be watched on the premises, and my son could be watched in the waiting area repeatedly asking Zane, Miss Liz and Miss jasmine if my son could be watched in the waiting area and they repeatedly. After that had happened, I went back to continue my service while continuing my service. I had multiple students coming up to me letting me know that they have had family sitting down next to each other. They have had kids running around in there and they have had overheard zane miss liz and miss jasmine, talking about me still after the fact that everything was already over. I do not recommend going to this place if you want to deal with instructors who are 30+ years old gossiping about you like if you are in high school they are very unprofessional.

I brought my 6 year old son to Milan for a hair cut today. He is autistic and was really nervous and was moving a lot which caused the student to accidentally nick his ear with the clipper. My son did not want to finish the haircut until one instructor… I believe his name is Saul, stepped in and calmed my son with his words and calm demeanor. I was really impressed with how well he handled the situation and how he was able to connect with my son in that way. Not many people are skilled or even patient enough to accomplish that. I just wanted to say thank you for the great service!

My son Steve received one of the best haircuts of his youth i genuinely believe he fell in love with getting his haircut! His barbers name was Juan and his supervisors name was Saul and they seem to be a dream team! Saul was very informative and and made both me and my son feel very comfortable I will definitely be coming back! Thanks Milan!!!!

I had my hair done last week by Cherisse Gilbert, and she did such an amazing job. I went in for a full head of highlights and a haircut, and she definitely delivered. She was so careful and detail-oriented, and I left feeling so beautiful. Not only was she considerate about what I wanted, but she made sure that I was comfortable and cared for the entire time. It was actually very relaxing. This was my first time going to the Milan Institute, but I will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

I really appreciate the knowledge in the classroom I am receiving from Saul and Cortney. I love the fact Ms. Cortney is patient and kind and I always feel I can come to her with questions. I feel she gives me accurate and insightful information. Saul gives me really great hands on help. He is very detail. Oriented and I appreciate his advice for cutting

I'm a current student at this Milan location. There are some issues when it comes to admin and communication between all departments. BUTTT when it comes to the instructors, I feel like they have some amazing people on staff! Ms. Sisalee was my Phase1 instructor and she was so amazing at teaching us and helping us. She made us feel comfortable to ask questions, she didn't make us feel bad when we weren't doing well on a task. She understood that we were learning, but she also didn't baby us. She didn't sugar coat things and I think that has allowed us to have some thicker skin while working with clients. She continues to help us even though we aren't in her class anymore. And honestly, she's one of the biggest reason I didn't stop attending Milan when there were so many communication issues between admin and students. Truly she will be one of the biggest reasons I enjoyed my time at Milan. And when it comes to the floor instructors, Ms. Ashlie, Liz and Cessa are great people to learn from. They help you with what you need, but also encourage you to do the service. They are huge parts of a lot of us students pushing through it! Having instructors/teachers that CARE ABOUT YOU is something I won't ever forget and I will ALWAYS be grateful for!

I get great service and a ton of amazing opportunities. The employees are very skilled and have amazing personalities. They put out a lot of effort to make sure that all of your needs are satisfied. This is the place to go if you really need top-notch assistance. All educators efficiently instruct their students, and they are there to help with any beauty needs you may have. CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL, PLEASE.

My experience here at the Milan beauty college has always been positive I've always been treated with respect with kindness but most of all I've had nothing but professional I have had my nails done by the student Erin which I can't even speak enough how professional how beautifully she does my nails I have probably never had such a great experience with any other student and I've been coming for several years she will do your nails exactly the way you want and she comes off with such a great attitude very professional attitude but yet she's very kind very attentive.

Mr Saul the barber is always so helpful with anything we need help with ! He’s a very good instructor ask if we need hes assistant wit comes to hair cuts or anything !Ms Ashlie are very good instructors on the floor ! Shes help with style or anything cut color mostly everything she’s very polite helpful she teaches us ways to cut hair toner explains everything ! On ratios and all !!! She’s one of the best instructor she’s on top of work ethics here at Milan !! If it wasn’t for her idk where I would be to help through a lot here at school

This school has professional and quality teachers and staff. Kayla has colored and cut my hair on several occasions and has always gone above and beyond. She is knowledgeable and conscientious. She is kind, careful, and very concerned about doing her best work. Nina is a wonderful, supportive, and excellent teacher to the students and friendly with clients. Gail at the reception is of the highest quality. She truly multi tasks and keeps everything running smooth and efficiently! She is very helpful and a wonderful person!

I’m a student at Milan Institute. I have about a few months left to graduate. There’s a lot of pros and cons coming to Milan, but I’m grateful that I got the opportunity to have good instructors for example my phase 1 instructor sisalee. Although she isn’t my instructor anymore, she still helps me more than others. She has always been on top of her game. now that I’m a student on the floor I tend to need help sometimes for example having my assignments graded. I know for a fact, if I do need help with anything, she would be there and she would be willing to teach. She goes out of her way to help us, and she motivates us, and she taught us really good habits that I seem to realize not all students have good habits because they weren’t taught properly. One thing I do know our class was taught properly how to stay clean keep your stuff clean, clean up after yourself not every instructor is as responsible as sisalee. Or willing to help. So thank you sisalee for being an amazing instructor.

My son (17 years old) has been considering barbering for a while now but was hesitant to take the leap. After checking out Milan and speaking with Saul, he is much more encouraged and motivated after hearing and wise encouraging words from Saul! My son and I are very excited to see where the future takes us through both the institute and with Saul's guidanceThank you Milan!!!!

I'm happy to say that i've learned a lot from Milan. The instructors, Are very knowledgeable, friendly And wanna see student succeed. The school was Also very patient with my progress to success, even during the time when I needed to take a leave of absence. They still welcome me back right after😊 And picked up where I left off. A big shut out, to Saul Lomas a instructor Who Furthered me On fading and blending hair.His skills and techniques are flawless.💯

I’m a cosmetology student here at milan institute, and i am so appreciative of all the instructors that are always so helpful and encouraging with us. But some instructors in particular who have helped me master and expand my learning skills is Ms.Melissa and Ms.Lynae i appreciate them for always being so patient with me and all other students!!! 🙏

I've had many great opportunities and have had amazing service. The workers are hard working they make sure all your needs are serviced, they all are very professional with amazing attitudes. this is the place to be when you really need a great service students are taught well by all instructors and they are there to help for your beauty needs or even just an ear when you are serviced. if I had to choose from any school it would always be Milan institute.

I’m a cosmo cross over barber and professor Saul is amazing instructor who taught me how to become a pro at cutting hair as a barber. He teaches you everything even if you don’t know how cut hair. Ms. Codianni is also one of the best instructors as well she teaches everything in cosmo class and she has so much patients to teach you everything you need to know.

I've got excellent service and a lot of wonderful chances. The staff members are really competent and have wonderful dispositions. They work diligently to ensure that all of your requirements are met. This is the location to go if you truly need excellent service. Every teacher teaches their pupils effectively, and they are there to assist with any beauty requirements you may have THIS IS THE SCHOOL TO CHOOSE.

I ONLY NEEDED A WASH AND BLOW DRY!This was my first visit to this beauty school. My first impression upon walking to the door was several students was outside smoking with their vapors. Upon checking in I was told they were short staff (most students called-in) and it would take a few minutes before I could be seen, i.e. I had an appointment. I waited over 30 minutes before I was assigned a person. I only required a wash and blow dry. I have kinky core black, natural hair; I requested a person who was familiar with my type and was told "of course" I would be accommodated. Unfortunately, the young lady was not familiar, could hardly even wash properly, did not know how to blow dry, but attempted, I was very patient because I understood...After small talk with her, she let me know she had never provided service for my type of hair, but on a dummy head. I suggested she ask for assistance with the supervisor, because both of them(hispanic female and white male) teachers was just sitting at a station talking. The facility was pretty much empty, students had not shown up for work, others were in a class, but mostly nail students were working. The female supervisor was very unprofessional and rude. I asked for the male as he made initial contact with me in the beginning, confirming the services I would be receiving. He was just as unprofessional as she was when I attempt to explain my concerns, stating we never guaranteed any specific student because they all learning. I tipped the students and let her know it wasn't her fault, but I appreciated her attitude about it all, but ended it. As I went to check out, the male instructor was at the directors office clearly providing his side of the situation. They charged me for using the shampoo and conditioner and the Director just apologized. It took me time to send this but I thought it was important. Unfortunately, these schools are necessary for those who have natural talent and need license certification to open a business service for the public. However leadership for them is critically important to prepare them for such issue and having unqualified supervision who did not have the ability to handle this small concern with a reasonable resolution shows what Milan Institute definitely needs to work on and provide. They are a reflection of the quality of students who graduate from this institution.
