After years of my daughter yearning for a piercing, we finally made it happen on February 14th, 2025, at Lizards Ink in Denton, TX!!! Not only did we go, but her best friend and her parents also went and the girls got their septum’s pierced together!! I couldn't be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the entire visit was outstanding.
First impressions matter, and Maria, the friendly face at the front, immediately made us feel welcome. While my daughter had never before been pierced, her friend has but she unfortunately had a previous piercing experience that left her extremely nervous. Her friend's anxiety was definitely palpable, but the staff at Lizards Ink managed to completely put her mind at ease and by the end she said she will definitely be returning, as will we!!
As a mother, my top concern is always safety, comfort, and cleanliness, and Lizards Ink far exceeded my expectations. It was, without a doubt, one of the cleanest tattoo and piercing shops I've ever been in. The environment was impeccably maintained, which immediately helped to alleviate any anxieties.
The star of the show was undoubtedly Carly, the head piercer. She was phenomenal! Whether she picked up on the girls' nervousness or if it's simply her natural demeanor, she made the entire process incredibly smooth and seamless. Carly's passion for her craft is evident in everything she does. She's clearly not just going through the motions; she genuinely cares about her clients and ensuring they have a positive experience. It's clear this isn't just a job for her, it's a calling!
The piercing itself was quick and painless, and Carly provided detailed aftercare instructions, which were very reassuring. To top it all off, she even gave each of the girls a super sweet and thoughtful gift bag after the piercing was complete – a truly unexpected and appreciated gesture.
