I experienced an issue with a drain that was causing water to back up into the basement of my rental property in Nashville. I reached out to the city to inspect the sewer line, and also contacted several plumbing businesses to see if the problem was with my personal drain. This involved running a camera through the line from the house to the city sewer. One company I called refused to give me an estimate, instead stating that their technician, William, would provide a price upon arrival. They added that I could refuse the service if the price was too high. To ensure I was making an informed decision, I also contacted another company. When William from the first company arrived, he quoted a steep price of over $400 just to run the camera. I found this outrageous, especially since I had received quotes from others that were in the $200 range. Because of this, I chose not to engage his services. The following day, Oliver from the other company came. He was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, and his quote for running the camera in the drain was a reasonable $190 - less than half of William's quote. After he ran the camera, Oliver confirmed that the drain was neither broken nor blocked. He spent a substantial amount of time with me trying to identify the issue, and finally discovered a clog in the internal basement drain. He promptly removed the clog, charging a small additional fee for this service. I was extremely relieved when the issue was resolved - the total bill was only around $250, and the tenants who had been dealing with water backing up into the basement for weeks were satisfied. I highly recommend Oliver and his team. They did an excellent job, and I will be recommending their services to all my clients and acquaintances!
