What do I NEED from the claims department of my insurance agency (Integrated)? ...the capacity to "walk in-between" the actual insurer (Erie) and the policyholder (me), and to translate to me what's in the mind and in the processes of the insurer. I totally got what I needed from Integrated's claims staff members (Rosemary and Claudia) after a recent auto accident. What do I WANT from the claims department? ...reassurance that I'm so much more than the remitter of a premium-check every year, that my apprehension after an accident is expected and understood, and soon will be calmed. That, too, I totally got from Integrated, and I am so appreciative! I would never choose to have an accident, but having been through the experience, I've emerged from it with increased faith that there really are professionals who go to work each day with the fervent belief that the value of their day is measured by how much they will have improved the day of each client. ...and now I'm thrilled that through this review I can improve their day in return!
