My name is Obie Diaz and I had the opportunity to be part of a Men's Hunting Encounter with Church of Eleven 22. I wanted to write this as I am not a member of that Church but a big fan of hunting and I'm so proud to say and pass on the great encounter with your amenities, service, staff, knowledgeable guides, and Game, of coarse! With a group that size, you were able to not only handle us, our various hunting experiences but prepare meals an Army would write back home to their moms about. I enjoyed the company, wisdom and realness of Pastor Jobe and WILL be back but this time, I'm bringing others to experience it. I will probably also be returning with my family of 5 and maybe even the Men's Ministry I host in Orlando, FL.......Thanks for being Top Notch! (Love to Benny (The Godfather) Jody, Ryan, Bob, etc and the ladies)
By the way...we harvested a number of Amazing deer, hog, and 2 bobcats

Ryan gets 5 Stars. I called him about one month before Georgia Bobcat season was going to end and asked if he could squeeze me in as a solo hunter. He agreed. I told him the only thing I cared about was getting a cat. Food, lodging etc. was irrelevant. I got there and after ensuring the rifles were zeroed we started hunting almost immediately. We hunted hard for two days. We hunted day and night and barely slept which is what I asked for. At 10:30 pm on my last night he called in a cat and I sealed the deal. I got exactly what I asked for. The price was more than fair considering how hard we pushed for this hunt. I will be going back again. This place has an ABUNDANCE of game. Deer, hogs, coyotes etc. are everywhere. On top of all of this he had a death in the family and STILL carried on with my hunt. Not only will I be going back but I will be going back with friends and family next time. Thank you

Been going to Gopher Plantation for years. Ryan and Benny treat you like true welcomed guests. My children have learned to hunt here. Gopher holds a special place in my heart.

Highest recommendation for The Gopher. Family owned and operated business. I felt like part of the family while on the property. Food was delicious and authentic southern cooking, lodging was luxurious with a rustic feel. The guides were the amazing!! They were extremely knowledge, energetic, charismatic, full of fun stories and super passionate about hunting. They went over the moon to make sure we had the time of our lives. The property was well managed and full of quality wildlife at every turn of the head. My only regret is that we didn't have time to stay longer. Many thanks to Ryan and David!!! I'll be back for another hunt soon.

We are finishing (Day 1) of a (3 Day)hunt here at Gopher Plantation and I can not say enough about how awesome this place is. Ryan, his family and the Staff are a true definition of what southern hospitality is. They really do work to provide the best hunt and a successful hunt for their guest. The lodging and Plantation buildings take you back in time when life was so much more simpler. We will definitely be back for years to come!

In March 2017 I was in Douglas Georgia for a family get together and took the opportunity to go on my first boat hunt. Bennie Overstreet's Gopher Plantation provided us with an outstanding hunting experience. Each hunter had their own professional guide and the 9500 acres gave us a true wilderness feel. We harvested 2 boar and had a great home cooked lunch at the lodge. Outstanding.

We did a father son trip with my 9 year old who has never been hunting. It’s hard to explain. I watched my son grow up so fast and grow confidence over the weekend. Two shots two animals. Ryan helped him believe in himself which was great since whatever dad says isn’t anything useful. Even after coming home he was talking about how farming is cruel and hunting is meaningful in his own words. He cleaned and cooked his meals as well. Not going to lie the cooking was on point Ms. Leanne. Coming from cities my son was taught by others opinions about hunting and land management and this has changed everything.

Plenty of birds, shot covey's and singles. Saw great dog work with a lot of style. The birds actually flew like wild birds!!! I could not ask for more. I'm going to be a regular customer.

The Gopher Plantation is top notch, from the late 1800's cabins, friendly and knowledgeable staff, food and really the whole setup. The almost 10,000 acres is all prime hunting, I've seen lots of deer and hogs every time I sat in a stand. …

Went for a day and a night hog hunt in September and will be back. The proprietor and staff were warm and hospitable, Ryan was an excellent guide, lodgings and facilities were perfect, and the place was crawling with game.
