From the minute you walk into what I would describe more as a studio than a barber’s shop, it’s difficult to remember what struck me first: the fashionable yet comfortable style of the place; or the immediate warm welcome from David.
After the initial introductions, David took the time to discuss what I wanted, and also to offer his own advice - which was really what I wanted! He has a calmness that makes you feel at home, and a confidence that makes you trust in his judgement and abilities.
I enjoyed the hour I spent there, relaxing and chatting, and will enjoy the weeks ahead with this new haircut. Just what I wanted, even though I didn’t really know what I wanted!! David has an excellent manner and provides a great service. Will definitely be back.
PS I would describe the ambience as ‘industrial renaissance’ - if a New York warehouse and Italian villa had a lovechild, this would be it. Concrete floors and exposed pipes, blend with comfortable sofas, a vintage piano, and some interesting artifacts and high end products. You feel at home, but with a little of that prestige you feel when you’re upgraded to business class. I’m missing it already...
