This hike is a pretty steep incline for the majority of the way to the waterfall. It's a rough path with many tree roots that can both help or hurt your footing, depending on how you use them and how much you pay attention! I saw a couple of kids fall pretty bad tripping over the roots on the path.
It's a gorgeous hike, not very far, about 1/3 mile to the falls, but you'll definitely feel the burn in your lungs and legs on the way up. The way back down is much easier and enjoyable.
The actual waterfall viewing area is pretty small and can get crowded quickly.
The path is dog friendly as well. Many sweet pups were making the trek, leashed of course.
Make sure you download an offline map as cell service doesn't work well, sometimes not at all, up there. So when we left, we couldn't get the GPS back up and running for awhile.
Overall I loved it, it was so much fun and beautiful.
