Don't trust her!! ...Carol steers people into expensive funds with hefty upfront charges! My neighbor had to pay over $10K in "sales charge" to move her retirements in Feb 2025 to use Carol's financial services. In less than 2 months, her retirement funds have already lost more than 10% which translated into more than $40K on top of over $10K for "sales charge".
Writing on behalf of my 73-year old neighbor who had Carol prepare her tax returns for many years. Recently, Carol convinced my neighbor to use her as her financial advisor to manage her retirement funds. Not understanding what's what, my neighbor bought into her pitch and agreed, and Carol invested my neighbor's retirement money on 2/4/2025 in two very aggressive funds: AGHTX, AMCPX. Right off the bat, there was a 2.5% "asset transfer" charge which converted to $10,400 and was taken out of her account immediately. On top of it, a month later as I am writing this review, my neighbor's retirement funds already lost more than 10%. So in less than 2 months, my neighbor is out over $50K by going with Elizabeth Financial. And Carol didn't even know the difference between management fee and expense ratio, she told me they were the same but they're not.
At 73, my neighbor can't afford to have her money in such aggressive funds because she doesn't have time on her side to wait out the market downs. Each month when she needs distribution from the fund, she would have to sell more shares because each share is worth less now.
It is very unethical, and devious to prey on elderly. Do not trust Elizabeth Financial and stay away from her!
