Our family started bringing our laundry here a few months ago on a regular basis.
We have spent, at times, hundreds of dollars weekly and tip well every single time even over tipped before on multiple occasions because of large loads.
I bring king comforters, washable rugs, clothing, and blankets.
We know the attendants really well until today, and the attendant was Jennifer whom we have never seen before.
I have always had an attendant WEIGH the items and charged by weight EXCEPT for comforters, which there is a separate charge for. I have NO problem with that.
Today, Jennifer, the attendant, didn't weigh the items brought in at all. Instead, she asked me "how many blankets I had" and proceeded to look through the 2 bags I brought in and did not weigh them at all.
I told her I had never been asked how many BLANKETS I was dropping off and why she was charging me without weighing?
She then proceeded to point to the sign posted about COMFORTERS. THERE WERE NOT ANY COMFORTERS BROUGHT IN TODAY.
I asked why i was being charged for COMFORTERS?? She explained that the sigh is for COMFORTERS AND BLANKETS, SHE wanted to charge me a COMFORTER charge for BLANKETS.
**The sign posted does not say anything about blankets.**
I told her that we have never been charged this way and when did these new charges start because i was just in and dropped off items about a week or so ago and this was not the case then. She looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language or that I was stupid. She explained that blankets are charged this way and not weighed. *See picture of items I attempted to drop off this morning* When she rang up the blankets, she told me the total would be $30.00. If the blankets were weighed, like normal, and not charged as comforters, it would have been less than that. If this is a new policy and pricing for drop off, it needs to be posted as such. I don't mind paying for the service but I'm NOT paying a fee for items that are not what I'm dropping off. I'll be looking for services elsewhere.
The Owner of this laundromat needs to address this with employees and make sure all employees are understanding of charges because obviously they are not!
**After telling my Daughter about this this morning, she told me that she had the EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH THE SAME EMPLOYEE, JENNIFER, a few weeks ago dropping off the same blankets I attempted to drop off this morning**
