Since I can't respond directly to Jay's reply I'll do it here. I "asked you" if it could be something besides the alternator. And exactly what did I say that would make you decide you didn't want my business? Was it that I told you about a bad review I gave a car dealership when they tried to rip my parents an extra $500? Because other than that I was extremely friendly. Also, this all happened in August and you're just now responding?! And in all the voicemails I left, not once did I accuse you of any wrong doing. I was simply asking you to come back and see what additional problems there could be but you didn't even have the courtesy to answer, my pleas. Yes, I plead with this man.
"IF" Jay resolves your problem on his initial visit it seems you're good to go. BUT if it isn't, you'll never see or hear from him again. My battery kept going dead so I took it to a couple of places, battery good, alternator not so much. Called Jay told him the problem. He gives me a price, buys alternator. He tests old part, not putting enough out. Replaces alternator, checks again, says all is good. Says if I need anything else to call. Later in the day I go to the store and the check engine light is on. It wasn't like that before. I call him as soon as I get home explaining the situation. Voicemail. Not only is it still happening but it got worse. Battery won't hold a charge for long at all. Call the next day. Nothing. Same with the next 7-10 calls. After waiting over 2 weeks I called the Attorney Generals office. They told me to send a certified letter. NOTHING. Waited again before calling BBB. They sent him "2" notifications. NOTHING... I'm 65, taking care of my 90 year old mom, both on low fixed incomes and can not afford another $400+ but it looks like we're going to have to.
