Because it sleeps 30 people, has a great huge kitchen, and we needed that kind of space. But after our last stay in 2017, we had enough. They started charging an extra fee to provide pillowcases and sheets. STANDARD BEDDING! This SHOULD BE INCLUDED in a house rental thats 9K for a week!!! Plus, the mattresses + pillows are ancient. nobody would want sleep on them if they saw how gross and old they were. While I'm on topic of beds, extremely uncomfortable. Mushy, springy, OLD.
Second, cobwebs and bugs everywhere, when we arrived, there were wet towels in the bathrooms and in the washer and dryer. We visited in the summer and for weeks prior, I asked the owner if the pool would be open. She confirmed that it would be. When we arrived, the pool was green and cloudy with a dead rat and a dead snake in it. I called the owners and they sent their neighbors to come over and spend many hours there cleaning and shocking the pool. They found 3 dead animals in the filter and told us not to go in the pool for 2 days. No Thanks. Such a terrible experience, we all left a day early. This house has potential, but the owners don't seem to care about it.
