I went to Baker Distributor needing some AC line I told the agent that I was installing a new heat pump and the line running from the coils to the air handler was a different size then the new unit and told him the unit size was 3/4!and the line was 5/8 should I adapt it or what and he recommended to replace the line so I bought it mat $120.00 took it home and it was the same size as the old one so I took it back to the store and the guy I showed it to said it was boxed wrong and went to his boss and told him what was going on and he said to check a new box so he did and it was the same so at that point the manager said this is y we don't sell to home owners insinuating that home owners are the source of his income directly or indirectly. He refused to return . Not a person ther new that AC and plumbing sizes are different and you would think someone there would have told me that before I spent the money . I am a certified AC tech and have done AC work for years when I asked for a 3/4 line set plumbing size he would have told me then instead of selling me something that he new would not work and then denied the connection took place on the phone me asking for a 3/4 plumbing size install kit and then insinuating that homeowners weren't educated enough to buy AC parts it was a very bad and rude experience and I would never buy anything from them again no service after the sale and had no clue that there was a difference in AC and plumbing sizes until I brought it to there up and even then it took them an hour to figure it out the ripped me for the money and would do nothing to help the situation
