I went here to get my hair done by Erica Renee at her salon suite, Erica Renee Salon and had previously talked about what service and look I wanted and even showed her a photo days prior. The photo I sent her would require a balayage which she charged me $280 for. She even said she would cut my hair for free cuz she does that with every color service.
I drove to this place at the day of my appointment and got lost immediately. If you haven't been here, it's on the upper level, right corner. I was wowed when I got there because I loved how their doors are locked and would need prior appointment to enter which I thought was pretty exclusive.
I walked in and had to wait a couple minutes until Erica arrived. She offered me water and told me to follow her back to her suite. She inspected my hair carefully and closely and I thought wow, she means business (cuz she inspected it for a while and made comments of what the previous hairstylist did wrong). She then showed me my inspo photos and told me what she was going to do. My inspo photo was light brunette (honey almost) hair with light blonde balayage and a money piece. We were both on the same page.
When she finished, my hair was blow dried straight. She then asked me if I wanted to curl my hair and I said yes and it looked good after, but honestly the before and after didn't look much different (literally only a couple highlights here and there; the money piece didn't really stand out - more like grown out) Because she asked me and I agreed if I wanted to keep my base color (dark brown almost black) I think she should've went down on the cost because $280 was what she charged me for my inspo photo which had so much more done to it.
My appointment was at 11 and probably didn't finished until almost 2. I probably wouldn't go here again because like the first review, it's overpriced for your typical salon work down the street. For a master hair stylist I think she should've nailed the inspo photo, but nah.
Super cool salon, though.
