One of the new barbers screamed at me saying, I'm NOT CUTTING YOUR HAIR ANYMORE, PAY UP" because he kept making mistakes, costing me time over an simple trim. Then the owner saw the worst customer service possible, as well as worst directions in following an haircut(forget having them improvise in an haircut) and cut my hair. Then he demanded an tip afterwards, at Manhattan you would walk away IF THE haircutter couldn't follow simple instructions must less scream at their customer worse than an drill seargant or enemy ever would(I'm in the 3rd Ranger Battalion). In my business I would've actually done what the customer asked, do it fast and not ask for payment, but even give an couple more haircuts for free after an incident like that. I'm 25 and have this figured out, but these people just take advantage of college students not wanting to drive or walk far, that's their business model and why they exist. Not because they know how to cut hair when you aren't sure and want their opinion. This is after I've been with them for 7 years tipping all the time just out of courtesy. For all customers, just remember your tips will never be remembered or matter to them, neither will years of going to the for haircuts.
