I highly recommend Amanda for whatever reason you may be considering acupuncture. You will be in goods hands with Amanda. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Her passion for healing shines through in every interaction. I broke my hand June 20, 2023 and my hand was in a cast for six weeks, followed by two weeks in a brace. When the cast and brace came off, my hand and wrist were like a block of cement. I could not move, bend or grip anything. My fingers and knuckles were very swollen. I started occupational therapy on August 18th and continued two times per week for the next two months until we left for our cruise October 15th. Part of the therapy included wearing "Dynasplints" 2-3 times per day, every day, to help my fingers bend at the knuckles again. In addition, about two days after my hand came out of the brace, I started experiencing a burning sensation in my hand and wrist. Similiar to a really bad sunburn and my skin was shiny and very pink. This was diagnosed as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) just 10 days before we were to leave on our trip. With the travel we had planned, we would be outside the U.S. for two months. My Orthopedic Doctor and the Pain Manangement Specialist were both advising this was not an ideal time to travel. Symptoms could worsen and since I still have not gained full mobility in my hand, they were concerned I could go backwards in the progress I had made to date. I was really concerned about the potential for the CRPS to worsen and possibly spread to other parts of my body. To help treat the pain syndrome symptoms, I went for two Ganglion Nerve Blocks (shots of cortisone in the neck) the week before we left on our trip. I had read acupuncture may also be helpful in treating the pain syndrome symptoms so I explored this option with Amanda the first day we boarded the ship. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I didn't want to do anything that might potentially make things worse. However, after months of trying to restore my hand to full functionality, I am willing to do whatever I can to get better. Amanda was very reassuring to me. When she heard my story and saw my hand, Amanda was 100% confident that accupuncture could help me. She listened to all my concerns and made sure all my questions were answered before we proceeded. She was very thorough in her explanations and has been very caring and accommodating along the way. I have completed five treatments with Amanda and plan to do another five. After each session I have noticed improvement in my hand. Much less swelling, improvement in the color (less pink, less shine), and very minimal to no occurrences of the burning. I am looking forward another five sessions with Amanda and am confident there will be further improvements. I plan to send pictures and a progress report to my doctors and occupational therapist to show them how acupuncture has helped. Thank you Amanda for playing an important role in my journey of healing.

I am a 63 yo fit female and came to Amanda about five months ago to be treated for my knee. I was told by three different surgeons that it needed to be replaced due to bad arthritis, a torn meniscus, floating bone fragments and a Baker’s cyst. A month prior to seeing Amanda, it was perfectly fine, or at least I didn’t know there was anything wrong. And then one day, in one step, something gave out, and I was in excruciating pain with every further step that I took. That’s when I went to see the orthopedists (partners) who both were of the opinion that my only treatment was a full replacement! After seeking a third opinion, and hearing the same news yet again, although he did say there are alternatives to try (injections) prior to replacement to “kick the can down the road as far as I can” but ultimately, I will need it replaced. It then occurred to me that I should try acupuncture. I had been successfully treated for a variety of ailments in the past, so why not try it for this?! It should help with blood flow and to bring down the inflammation. I was new to Vero Beach so didn’t have an acupuncturist here and was left to find one via the internet. After calling two different practices that had good reviews, I was able to get in to see Amanda that week to begin treatment. It was random that I ended up with her, as the practice has several, and I am SO LUCKY that I did! She is highly skilled in a variety of modalities, ALL of which have assisted in my healing. I am happy to report with consistent treatment through acupuncture, supplements, topicals, and exercise, the swelling is completely gone and I am walking with NO difficulty. I contribute my healing 100% to Amanda’s skills as a practitioner. Her positive attitude and vast knowledge of Eastern medicine have given me back my full quality of life. I am forever grateful to her and highly recommend her regardless of what you are facing! She saved me from a full knee replacement! I am forever indebted to her and will continue to seek her care for whatever ails me for the rest of my life.
