All Star's ticket through our front door came via their offer to give a free estimate, while others wanted to charge $125 just to drop in and assess the situation. The technician arrived within the window they gave at the time the appointment was made.
I had some concerns at first when the plumber arrived — mainly whether he’d be able to comfortably access the tight space under my kitchen sink. To his credit, he handled it without issue and got the job done efficiently by convincing me to repair our existing faucet for $100 rather than installing a new one for $450 (labor only).
Communication was straightforward, and he came prepared with all the right tools, which for this repair consisted of an allen wrench, flash light, and channel lock pliers.
After watching how simple the repair was I felt like a dummy for not fixing it myself, given I have all the tools - just lacked brains enuf to watch a YouTube video to show me how. (Also a dummy for getting a C-2 cotractor's license instead of a C-36)
We put a fan under the sink and let it dry out thorougly overnight and it appears work he did tightening up the loose nut was solid, and everything's functioning as it should.
The technician accepted our personal check (they only take cash and checks - no CC, Venmo, tap-and-pay, etc) and straight up asked that I give them a 5 star google review, which I could not refuse given how quickly and efficiently he treated our domestic headache, not to mention the $350 saved by not installing the new $79.00 faucet I had just purchased.
