Whether you're buying or selling, DON'T call: Dennis at Advanced Yacht Brokers in Indiantown.
We made an appointment to look at a boat, and texted when we arrived. About 10 minutes later Dennis showed up and said he'd get a ladder for us to see the boat on the hard. About 20 minutes after that, one of the yard guys showed up with a ladder.
That's the last we saw or heard from Dennis or anyone else in the yard regarding the boat.
As a boat buyer, we felt that was incredibly rude.
As former boat owners who've sold with brokers, we would never want to hire a broker that dismissive to prospective buyers.
If we knew the sellers of the boat we looked at, we'd tell them what happened.
Since we don't, we simply recommend if you're selling a boat, find another broker or sell it yourself.
As buyers, if we had to look at buying at boat listed with Advanced Yacht Brokers we would ask for someone other than Dennis to be the broker.
To be fair, we asked around. There are some folks, especially if they were in the yard at Indiantown or other brokers, who found Dennis quite friendly and helpful. Then there are others, whose experience was more like our own.
