My husband and I have been shopping at Safeway Gig Harbor since we moved to the area in 1992; however, my experience today with Ryan, the PIC, motivated me to write a review about his outstanding customer service.
First, Ryan was immediately friendly and gave me all of his attention; nice eye contact, BTW. That’s a huge plus for me.
For months, I’ve tried to order a specific kind of sugar-free popsicle from other stores in the area, all without success. I mean, not even a call to inform me if the sugar-free option is available as a special order.
So, long story short, within five minutes of talking to Ryan, he’d ordered two cases of the sugar-free version of my favorite summertime staple, and he gave me a firm delivery date.
This may sound like a trivial request or need, but some people need to restrict their sugar consumption because of health reasons, and Ryan made my summer a lot easier and much cooler, all in a matter of minutes.
P.S. As I continued to shop in the store, I noticed Ryan walking nonstop, making sure every customer was happy with their store experience; he made time for anyone who had a question or needed help. And … he ended up as my cashier when I checked out!
Ha, he also made sure I got a reminder about my popsicle delivery date before I got a friendly wave goodbye. How great is that?
Ryan should definitely be commended for his overall efficiency and stellar customer service. I felt especially taken care of today.
